Thank you to everyone who donated food as part of the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance. This was a great success and the food we collected was donated to the SJUSD Food Distribution program, where it can benefit people in our own community. Our stake was able to donate more than 55 grocery bags full of food. Participating in the food distribution is a monthly service opportunity and anyone interested in helping with this can sign up on the Just Serve website. Our stake will continue to collect food and anyone wanting to donate can bring the food to the stake center.
Thank you also to everyone who participated in the blood drive last month. This special form of service is indeed life-saving to recipients in need. Thanks again to all who participated and made this happen.
